My project this summer was to build a swing set for my 4 year old daughter and 2 year old son. A neighbor was retiring their swing set after 8 years of use and donated the slide for my project. I was glad to keep it out of the landfill and save some money but the fiberglass slide was faded and dingy and didn't match the green color of my other playset accessories. I knew I would need a quality, durable, fade resistant exterior spray paint but I was having trouble finding a product that seemed to be right for this project. Eventually I came across Rust-Oleum Unversal and decided it was better to go with a product that worked well for a wide range of applications rather than finding a specialized product for my project, which didn’t seem to exist anyway. The first thing I noted with my can of Rust-Oleum Universal gloss green is the squeeze grip, which nicely avoided a tired and green finger as would be typical of a traditional spray can. I needed to hold the can at some odd angles to get all surfaces yet the spray was even and consistent. The slide now looks great and even after quite a bit of use the finish is holding up well. Thanks to Rust-Oleum Univeral I am confident that I can get quality results without becoming a spray paint expert when its time for my next project.
