Rust-Oleum Reigns over the Rain Barrel

The future is bright and certainly is green,

But sometimes these recycled and earth-friendly products are better not seen.

Water is in short supply, especially here in the Peach State;

The shortage still continues despite ever increasing water rates.

But a new green solution to water our lawn and plants has appeared;

A recycled soda syrup container connected to a downspout harvests the water most dear.

The container however is a most ugly sight to the eyes;

Made out of plastic we didn’t think it we could disguise.

But along comes Rustoleum’s Universal spray paint, and it is the real deal;

Unlike other spray paints the painted surface did not crack, bubble or peel.

In one afternoon we transformed the container from something aesthetically inferior,

Into an earth-friendly rain barrel that complements our home’s brick exterior.

To match our home’s brick pattern we applied painter's blue tape in a grid,

Then using a combination of three colors we sprayed the barrel, and that's all we did.

The process was simple with no priming or sanding to get the right paintable surface;

With just one coat we were treated to a finished project that was perfect.

The painting was easy; it was done lickety-split.

Even our 4-year-old and 6-year-old enjoyed doing it.

So Rustoleum we submit our project to you

In hopes you make our space shuttle dreams come true.
